All membership are annual, from July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2018.
ACTIVE MEMBER: Administrators whose primary responsibility is in the area of Human Resources Management at the exempt level are classified as Active members with voting rights, and may hold an office in the organization.
RETIRED MEMBER: Retired Human Resource Administrators are classified as Retired Members with voting rights, and may hold an office in the organization.
ASSOCIATE MEMBER: Associate membership shall be available to any financial institution, corporation, organization, individual, or former member of VASPA having an interest in and ability to contribute to the purposes of VASPA. Associate members enjoy all rights and privileges of membership but shall not be permitted to vote nor hold office.
HONORARY MEMBER: The Virginia Association for School Personnel Administrators may confer a non-voting honorary membership upon any deserving person deemed to have provided exceptional service to VASPA. Honorary members participate at all regular meetings of the Association, ARE not be required to pay dues and can not vote or hold an office of the Association.
LIFE MEMBERSHIP: Conferred upon VASPA Past-Presidents and all future Past-Presidents. Immediate Past-Presidents serve on the Executive Board for a period of two (2) years immediately after their term, voting privileges as active members but not pay dues.
STAFF MEMBERSHIP: Any staff member of a Human Resources Department at the non-exempt level in a public school may join with the written permission of the Human Resources Administrator of the school district where the employee works. Staff members are eligible to participate at all meetings of VASPA and are not permitted to hold office vote.
